Ovarian, Breast and Armpit Cysts Anyone??

My ayurvedic practitioner (who has been incredible at helping my lymph system start flowing properly again and able to detox and heal my body from the IUD) found cysts in both my breasts & armpits at my first appointment just a few weeks after my Pargard IUD removal.

She told me that she has been paying careful attention over the last 10 years that IUD's have been gaining in popularity and that "EVERY WOMAN with a Paragard IUD and most women with hormonal IUDs who she has seen HAS HAD CYSTS in her armpits, breasts &/or ovaries"!!!! Her reasoning is that the cysts are caused by our immune system trying to do its job of isolating and removing excess, toxins, heavy metals and hormones, but that we IUD users have so many of them that that very system gets overwhelmed and the cysts that are formed are not able to be eliminated properly and continue to both get bigger as well as clog up and stop our lymph system from being able to properly deal with and eliminate that which our body recognizes as a threat. It's all about keeping the "river of life" flowing. Well done lymphatic massage is highly recommended, non-invasive and amazing at getting the cysts to drain. Mine are all now either almost gone or already completely gone.

NOTE: About 8 or 9 months after removal, I experienced extreme tenderness during a lymphatic massage and she identified the swollen and enlarged state of my right ovary as an ovarian cyst. I then went to my naturopath who also said that it felt enlarged, was likely a cyst and recommended I get an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a small cyst and also identified that I had fibroids as well.

GETTING THE LYMPH FLOWING
There's a self care technique that can be done at home called "gua shaw" which helps out as well, especially if they are not too big or to keep them from forming in the first place. I'm doing that regularly. I think another technique called "dry brushing" also does the same thing of stimulating the lymph to flow and drain.

If the cysts are left in that state, then they can burst & bleed and otherwise cause all types of trouble in and of themselves including

  • fibrocystic & polycystic disorders,

  • hysterectomy

  • and can also be a pre-curser to possible future cancers....... which I have been finding alarmingly common in the stories from women who used IUDs in the 1970's & 1980's, especially breast and ovarian cancers..... right in the spots where the lymph system flows?!!.

Castor Pack & Frankencense Oil Treatment for Ovarian Cysts & Fibroids

  • CASTOR PACK: Rub castor oil on the whole belly area and place a warm towel with a heating pad or warm rock on top to keep the whole area warm. This heat drives the effects of the castor oil deeper. Lay back in a recliner or on your bed in a reclined position and relax for 45 minutes to an hour and do the treatment every 3-4 days if possible. Add in a few drops of frankencense essential oil as well for added benefit.

  • FRANKENCENSE ESSENTIAL OIL Is recommended for any ovarian cyst of fibroid issues. Put a few drops on your belly each day over the ovaries or the area where the fibroids are. Also adding it to a castor pack treatment is very recommended.

  • I did both of these treatments and the pain in my ovary went away. I did not have another ultrasound to look for the fibroids but have not had any discomfort since. Both of these treatments are well known and commonly recommended for anyone with cysts or fibroids, plus they are just pleasant to do.

Here's the official new Liletta FDA Approval information regarding cysts
(quoted straight from the 43 page document):

17 PATIENT COUNSELING INFORMATION

17.1 Information for Patients Advise the patient to read the FDA-approved patient labeling (Patient Information).

Counsel the patient regarding the risk of ovarian cysts and that cysts can cause clinical symptoms including pelvic pain, abdominal pain or dyspareunia and infrequently will need surgery.

[See Warnings and Precautions (5.7).]

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS

5.7 Ovarian Cysts Because the contraceptive effect of LILETTA is mainly due to its local effects within the uterus, ovulatory cycles with follicular rupture usually occur in women of fertile age using LILETTA. Sometimes atresia of the follicle is delayed and the follicle may continue to grow. Most ovarian cysts that occur during use of LNG-releasing IUSs are asymptomatic and disappear spontaneously during two to three months of observation. Cysts that cause clinical symptoms can result in pelvic or abdominal pain or dyspareunia. Symptomatic ovarian cysts occurred in 3.4% of subjects using LILETTA, and 0.3% of subjects discontinued use of LILETTA because of an ovarian cyst.

Evaluate persistent ovarian cysts. Surgical intervention is not usually required, but may be necessary in some cases. Discuss this risk with patients who choose to use LILETTA.
