“Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas recently received a $2 million donation to help ensure that disadvantaged women in the Dallas-Forth Worth area have better access to long-acting reversible contraception (LARCs)—birth control options like IUDs and the arm implant—along with screening for sexually transmitted infections.

The donation comes equally from two sources: The Boone Family Foundation, a philanthropic organization that focuses on helping low-income women and children in Texas; and Harold Simmons Foundation, another Texas-based humanitarian organization. According to The Dallas Morning News, this three-year endowment is expected to help around 1,000 women each year.”
